Artist Statement:

The Audition was a fun and creatively challenging project to shoot, especially since I joined as Director of Photography just a week before filming. What drew me in was the story’s theatrical flair, centered on students competing for roles in the school musical. Utilizing stage lighting allowed us to give the audition and callback scenes a dramatic, heightened look that felt true to the world of theater.

Although we improvised a lot of the shots, I focused on capturing rich colors and tight, intimate compositions to amplify the story's intensity. The final look of the film exceeded my expectations, and I’m incredibly proud of how it turned out!
