Artist Statement:
Suspicion is a thriller inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s masterful ability to build tension within a single, confined space. Set in one location, the film unfolds with mounting suspense as secrets and motives are slowly revealed, creating an atmosphere of unease that draws the viewer deeper into the story. Hitchcock’s influence guided my directing approach, using subtle shifts in camera angles and pacing to heighten the sense of suspicion and anticipation.
This project also features some of the finest performances in my filmography. The cast brought incredible depth and nuance to their roles, capturing the layers of distrust and tension that drive the story forward. Their commitment to the characters brought a raw intensity that elevated the film, making it one of the most memorable projects I've had the privilege to direct.
